Major Outage affecting 7,000 members

A severe storm has disrupted service to 7,000 cooperative Members. Currently 2500 Members remain without power in Coryell, Lampasas and Hamilton counties. Numerous poles and lines reported down by the storm. Crews will be working throughout the night to restore service. Updates will be forthcoming as additional information is available.  People with medical necessities such as oxygen dependency, etc. should make necessary arrangements.

*Update: Crews continue to work to restore power. Outage count is now at 1,538 meters.

**Update: Distribution lines have been rebuilt and power restored in the vicinity of Pearl, freeing up several crews to concentrate on other outage areas.

***Update: Outage count is down to less than 500. Crews still working to restore power to all Members.

****Update: As of 6/12/19 power has been restored to all members with the exception of those needing repairs on the Member's side (past/below the meter). Once those repairs are completed, the Member should contact HCEC and we will restore power.  If you know of any repairs/problems that were missed, please contact HCEC so we can take care of it.

HCEC would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this time.  It is much appreciated.
