Once again, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) has issued a conservation alert for Monday July 13 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Please help reduce energy consumption during this timeframe.
Some ways to conserve energy consumption include, but are not limited to:
- Set your thermostat a 2 to 5 degrees higher than usual
- Wash loads of laundry after dark or in the morning
- If you have a pool, set the pump to run in the morning or after dark
- Run the dishwasher after dark or in the morning
- Use ceiling fans only when you are in the room
